#WarriorPoet- CARROTS Pt. 1

Drinks on me!!! That’s right, we are approaching our 100th post here on the #WarriorPoet Blog. With the hundreds of subscribers that we have here, I want to do something for you. Today’s Post has 2 parts… Carrots Part 1 is here today and Carrots Part 2 will go up on Sunday. If today’s post AND Sunday’s post, get over 50 comments combined, I will do one of the following 2 things in return as a celebration for our 100th post as a #WarriorPoet family… I will either A- Figure out a time and location for us all to meet and I will treat you all to drinks and dessert OR B- You can join me at a monthly event that I Co-host called #DateNGame (which is pretty much the most awesome adult game night EVER known to man! *Flyer below) and once you’re inside, I will treat you to a drink there. All we need is 50 comments below between today’s post and Sunday’s post, and in addition to your comments, you must also tell which of the two options above you’d prefer. If we get more than 50 comments between both posts, and one of those options gets the most votes, then that’s the one I’ll arrange and we’ll make it happen ALL ON MY DIME! #iGotYou. If Monday comes and we haven’t hit 50 comments, don’t say I didn’t try!

Oh, and this would probably be the best time to not only post a comment to those of you who normally just swing by, get a good read and leave without even saying a simple hello, but it would also be a good time to tweet and facebook this post but also send a text blast and e-mail blast to all of your peeps urging them to read the blog, comment, and most importantly SUBSCRIBE! 

Ok, enough with that, let’s get into these carrots…

Every one of us has a Destiny. The downside to that is, along with our Destiny comes opposing forces that try to keep us from our Destiny. Now, if you do not believe that both positive and negative forces exist, then you can click and close this right now, don’t leave a comment, and don’t expect me to buy you a drink either! lol iJoke-iJoke But if you do believe that, then you have to know, trust, and believe that there are distractions attached to your every day life. We’ll call these distractions “Carrots” as in dangling carrots. These are the things that can be put in front of you to grab your attention away from your Destiny. The tricky part about them is that these Carrots don’t always have to be “bad” things (we’ll touch on that in Part 2 on Sunday). And what’s even worse is the principal “Error Increases With Distance.” See image below for what I mean…

1- Represents you being at a fork in the road. It represents you being at the starting point in making a decision, a choice between walking towards your Destiny (in my case, I know that my Destiny somehow involves Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream, hence the photo, but that’s just me SON!) or being distracted by a carrot down the path of distraction.

2- Represents the next step that you make. You may choose wisely and walk down your path of Destiny OR you may be distracted into walking down the other path.

3- Represents the same thing as #2 but if you’ll notice, as the numbers get higher and higher, (4, 5, 6, 7) they grow further and further apart…  

8- Represents the evidence that “Error Increases With Distance.” Meaning, the more you make an ERROR by walking down the path of distraction, the more DISTANCE is created between your mistake and where you’re really supposed to be. The more time you spend walking down the path of distraction, the more of an INCREASE IN DISTANCE you are creating in your ERROR… Your mistake is getting bigger and bigger because the distance between where you are and where you should be is also getting bigger and bigger.

If that was a bit confusing, you might wanna back track because there’s both a visual AND an explanation and I’m not quite sure how else to break that down lol! But if you get what I’m saying, I urge you to think on this for today and tomorrow. Because Sunday will be a little more in-depth and we’ll try to actually pin point some of our own errors (yes mine too!) in our lives.
